MP 4.71 Culvert Replacement, Project No. 18020580 Statement of Issue: The Amendment to Project Agreement is necessary to obtain additional grant funds for the Thorndyke Rd. MP 4.71 Culvert Replacement. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's a Con's: Thorndyke Road MP 4.71 Culvert Replacement is a transportation improvement project included in the officially adopted 2021-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The project will replace the fish barrier culverts at this location with a bridge. Jefferson County was awarded Fish Barrier Removal Board (FBRB) funding in 2019 for project design. The design process involves review by the FBRB Technical Review Team (TRT), and the TRT requested modifications to the stream channel design that were beyond the original project scope, necessitating additional work by Jefferson County's design consultant. Therefore, Public Works requested additional funds from the FBRB. This funding amendment will cover the additional design costs. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The current funding amount is $237,254. This amendment will increase the funding amount to $246,550. Jefferson County will need to provide match in the amount of $43,509, funded by the Road Fund. Recommendation: The Chair of the Board is requested to sign all three originals of the Agreement and return all three originals to Public Works for further processing.
