This project falls within the Usual and accustomed area of the Skokomish/Twana Tribe. This Cultural —andscape was and still is utilized by Skokomish for spiritual and cultural purposes. The Tribe is in concurrence with the report completed by Western Shore Heritage Services, Inc in regards to the high probability of discovery in regards to cultural resources and archaeological deposits. The Tribe also feels that the project proponent should engage in consultation with The Skokomish Tribe and other appropriate agencies in regards to discussion, planning and implementation of an appropriate program of systematic archaeological field investigations for the subject property. It is always the Tribes interest to ensure that impacts to cultural resources, remains and deposits are avoided when possible to ensure the integrity of its traditional territories. In closing the Tribe looks forward to hearing back in regards to our comments and suggestions.
