HomeMy WebLinkAbout036For Immediate Release — October 26, 2009 Contact: Al Scalf Director, Department of Community Development, Jefferson County (360) 379-4450 or ascalf@co.jefferson.wa.us Environmental Impact Scoping Meeting Port Townsend, WA— On Wednesday, October 28, 2009, Jefferson County Department of Community Development will hold a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) Scoping Public Meeting regarding the Brinnon Master Planned Resort, aka Pleasant Harbor Marina and Golf Resort, beginning at 5 pm at the Brinnon School Gym, 46 Schoolhouse Road, Brinnon, WA The purpose of the meeting is to outline the next steps in the Resort permitting process, present new information, and take public testimony on the scope of the environmental impacts at a project level as well as alternatives other than the proposed preferred alternative. The applicant, Statesman Corp, will make a brief presentation and be available to answer questions. The Public is encouraged to attend and comment on the potential impacts and scope of environmental review. The SEIS is required for further processing of application MLA08-00188, which includes a Development Agreement and Development Regulations necessary to allow for subdivision, binding site plans and other project level land use and building permits.
