Hello David,
I have attached the requested letter in regards to Statesman following the LEED building
standards only for the Pleasant Harbor Marina and Golf Resort rather than both LEED and Green
Built standards. Thank you for your time on this matter.
Sincerely,

RE: LEED and Build Green Standards—Pleasant Harbor
Master Planned Resort
Dear Sirs:
The BoCC condition states that Statesman shall use LEED Standards for the new construction
and major renovation for all commercial buildings and"Green Built' Standards for all residential
buildings.
As previously discussed, the fact that LEED and"G-een Built"Standards are very similar in
concept and the new commercial spaces are contained within residential buildings, we feel that
our LEED compliance narrative of January 20, 2011 shall be the only document that this Master
Planned Resort shall follow for its`fireeii'building practices.
Examples of how closely related the concepts are between LEED and'3reen Built"Standards in
correlation to the narrative of January 20.2011 are as follows:
Items from the Built Green Multi -Family Self -Certification Checklist
Section 2: Site and Water
2-6 Protect shorelines during construction
2-8 Install temporary erosion control devices and optimally maintain them
2-10 Retain all native topsoil and protect stockpiles from erosion
2-13 Replant vegetation
2-43 Cluster buildings and design site roadway and parking to preserve open space.
2-44 Choose location to reduce dependence on automobiles
2-46 Create a"mixed-usd"development.
