(JT) (Perkins Coie) Cc: Al Scalf; Stacie Hoskins Subject: Pleasant Harbor Resort SEIS Update Team, Craig, Stacie and I met last Friday to go over the revised site plans for new Alternative #2 (the preferred Alternative). We were very impressed with the revision and refinement that resulted in: • Less overall clearing and grading • Amount of cut and fill reduced by 1.2 million cubic yards • Retention of Trees • No buildings on fill • Less irrigation • Less impervious surface + Project savings in the millions of dollars Kudos to Craig and congratulations to Garth on a vastly improved project which significantly lowers the environmental impact while maintaining key resort features, and which allows us to add another alternative to the SETS. I believe this is IS xactly what the drafters of SEPA intended to encourage under the Alternatives provisions of that law (WAC 197-11- .40(5)). Job well done, Craig. Moving forward, we still need several action items completed before the technical reports can be finaled. Craig and I will be working on those items. I will be sending you the final Alternatives as soon as possible so you may complete your technical reports. Thanks for hanging in there! Let me know if you have any questions, conflicts or concerns. `, SAVE PAPER - Please do not print this e-mail unless absolutely necessary David Wayne Johnson Associate Planner - Port Ludlow Lead Planner Department of Community Development Jefferson County 360.379.4465 All e-mail may be considered subject to the Public Records Act and as such may be disclosed to a third party requestor. •
