With Roma Call being present representing the DCD and this particular Tribe, it is important that her
input be solely based on issues of environmental stewardship.
Their issues have been identified as the potential run-off into Hood Canal, and removing the kettles
from Reservoir Storage.
For this Tribe to be represented, they would not be able to hold up the approvals for reasons of
competing with their development; which would make them conflicted in law.

Thank you for the offer to have the meeting on site. However, at this time, DCD requests the meeting be held at this
office at 2pm.
At the direction of my county commissioner, this meeting is to "kick start" the "staff to staff meetings" to discuss the
remaining conditions, in particularly Condition k of BoCC Ordinance 01-0128-08 which requires letters of concurrence
fromthelocaltribesbeexecutedandrecordedtobepartoftheDevelopmentAgreement. Forthisparticularreason,
Roma Call has been invited to attend this meeting. Additionally, DCD's letter of October t9,ZOLG identified Roma as
being a representative for the PGST that would be attending these meetings.

We are ok for the 2:00 pm time frame on December 14th.
Let's hold the first meeting on-site, and if other meetings are required they can all be at DCD.
It is important that we identify the essence and understanding of the site and proposed development.
For the past 8 years, very few had visited the site and relied on hearsay versus facts.
I notice from your email that you have engaged Roma Call, representing the Tribe.
Please explain why Roma has been invited to attend?

December 14 will work for the meeting if we can all meet at 2pm. DCD is requesting the meeting be held at the
Department at this time since it will be the first meeting and no commissioners will be involved at this point. We may
hold other meetings at the project site in the future.
