RE: Pleasant Harbor Master Planned Resort Project
Dear Chair Sullivan,
Thank you for your letter on behalf of the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe inviting further
Government -to -Government consultation between the Tribe and Jefferson County, and
expressing the Tribe's ongoing concerns regarding the Pleasant Harbor Master Planned Resort.
Please know that the County Commissioners value the Tribe's input gained through the
Tribe/County consultations that have already been taking place, and that the County welcomes
further consultation with you.
How timely and fortunate it is that Commissioner David Sullivan and County staff are already
scheduled to meet with you about Pleasant Harbor on Wednesday, August 16. In addition to
discussing specifics about the Pleasant Harbor MPR, this meeting also provides an opportunity to
discuss how to continue our Government -to -Government consultation process.
In closing, thank you for your letter. Jefferson County takes the Tribe's input seriously, and we
look forward to our further consultation with you.
