I am extremely disappointed that there has not been sincere attention to having meaningful dialogue with the Port Gamble Sklallam Tribe and hope that our Board of Commissioners will help set new national standards for respect and reverence in dealing with these matters. Even more importantly, I hope that the Board of Commissioners will act with foresight and courage in resisting the short-sighted temptation of increased revenue in favor of preserving and protecting the environment and natural resources that would be irreparably 1 damaged for eternity by the resort project which combines the worst of self-interest, pseudo-science, and brazen disregard for the impact of their actions on all of us. Each individual Commissioner bears responsibility for generations to come. I hope you will consider this, and reject any further discussion of the Resort Project. With thanks, sincerely, Kristin Crowley 2
