HomeMy WebLinkAbout049Hello!
We have received inquiries from tribes and other public and private
groups regarding Pleasant Harbor Master Planned Resort. To keep the
Skokomish Tribe informed, we offer the following information.
The Board of Commissioners set a date for a public hearing and
established a public comment period on two important items:
1) An Ordinance Adopting a Development Agreement
<http://test.co.jefferson.wa.us/weblinkexternal/0,0/edoc/1770259/2018%20
02%2006%20PHMPR%20DA%20Proposed%20Ordinance.pdf> ; and
2) An Ordinance Amending Jefferson County Code
<http://test.co.jefferson.wa.us/weblinkexternal/0,0/edoc/1770258/2018%20
02%2006%20PHMPR%20DR%20Proposed%20Ordinance.pdf>
The public hearing will be on April 9, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Jefferson
County Superior Courtroom at the courthouse. Written comments will be
accepted at any time up through the end of the public hearing. Written
comments can be mailed to the Board of County Commissioners or emailed
to jeffbocc@co.jefferson.wa.us <mailto:jeffbocc@co.jefferson.wa.us>
There is a lot of information and it is easy to access. The best way to
review all current and related information is to spend time on the
updated Pleasant Harbor Master Planned Resort

To review, the Board will accept written comments at any time up
through the end of the April 9, 2018 public hearing. It is important
that PH MPR comments be addressed to jeffbocc@co.jefferson.wa.us
<mailto:jeffbocc@co.jefferson.wa.us> (if being sent by email) or mailed
directly to Commissioners office: Jefferson County BoCC; 1820 Jefferson
Street Port Townsend 98368. This way you are assured that comments will
be included in the hearing record.
The Board’s public hearing does not automatically denote a decision
date. On that date, the Board will hear staff presentation(s) and accept
public verbal testimony. We believe that no decisions will be made on
April 9th however I do not speak for the Commissioners.
If you have any questions or need anything further, please let me know.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
