Garth Mann is a good neighbor. He finds him a good man to work with. He thinks he will bring quality to the community. Participated in drafting letters to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). She commented on changes made to Planning Commission recommendations by staff. When she read about the project she was concerned about environmental protection. Statesman addressed their concerns. They noticed the area was getting depressed. He reads paper every week. Always articles about needing more money for social programs. The Pleasant Harbor development will expand the money available to Jefferson County. She urged the BOCC to approve this proposal at its earliest convenience. She commented on needed protections. 6:55:09 PM Tim Cullinan, Point No Point Treaty Council Note: Clerk, Superior Commented on the Wildlife Management Plan in the proposal. The Wildlife Management Plan is adopted by reference, rather than specific requirements. The presentation included a slide talking about specificity. The plan does not have specific enforceable language in it. He urged the BOCC not adopt this agreement until the Wildlife Management Plan is Fixed. 6:58:54 PM (?) Further unit reductions are needed to mitigate impacts. He was involved in the Brinnon Sub- Area Plan 20 years ago. The majority of the people at that time supported it. He was also a Planning Commissioner for the County. He is happy with the proposal. Commented on Washington Cities that succeeded in improving their economies while still protecting the environment. The planned development is way too big. The Community is spit and they don't have an opportunity to vote. But they did vote for the BOCC. Has toured the area extensively. He commended Garth Mann for his patience in going through the process. Look at the investment and sales tax that will come into your coffers. He worked on the Brinnon sub-area plan adopted in 2002. He comment on the South County food banks. He still has quetions. What is the traffic going to be like. Taxes, will they go up or down. Water supply. He has a well, and worries the resort will suck up all the water and his will go salty. His solitude and quiet. He will be looking 10 years of construction. How will this project affect the problems in south county. Affordable housing. This project won't do anything for housing. He is substitue teacher and sees what poverty does to kids. He is a proponent of this thing. Basically, we have a golden goose that has been kept off the nest. We need to let that goose get back on the nest. The environmental impacts appear to be addressed.
