Ms. Bolster,
Thank you for your comments to the Jefferson County Board of Health. These comments will be included in their
packet for their next scheduled meeting on July 15, 2021. I also received a copy of the request for vaccination
information from the Port Ludlow Assoc. LLC and Olympic Water & Sewage. Please be advised that employers are
not only allowed to inquiry about their employees' COVID immunization status, they are REQUIRED to do so. The
reason employers are required to collect this information is to maintain a safe workplace. COVID vaccination is
voluntary but the decision to decline vaccination has consequences. One of these consequences is to continue
masking and social distancing in indoor work settings. Fully vaccinated workers are not required to wear masks or
socially distance in indoor settings. In order to assure a safe workplace, employers must know who can safely stop
masking and who must continue to mask.
As Jefferson County Health Officer, I urge you to carefully consider the relative risks of the COVID vaccine and the
risks of being infected with COVID-19. New, more infectious variants of COVID are spreading in Jefferson County
and Washington State. Almost all of the cases of new infection, hospitalization, and deaths we are seeing in this
State are occurring in those who are unvaccinated. In less than a week, Washington State will end many of its
COVID restrictions. This will create greater freedom for those who are fully vaccinated and greater risk of infection
for those who are not. And new challenges for employers who must try to maintain a safe workplace for all
employees.

I have heard that we are allowing a blatant compromise to employees privacy, rights and health.
I received a corrupted example of this yesterday via form.
By allowing forms like below to be distributed by employers, our medical privacy and rights and being denied.
The very people who did not ride unemployment, who were in fact working, for less money than usual, then people
who sat at home⦠are working now, under short staffing and heat! Are being treated like this?
Weve seen how anyone, who wants the vaccine due to age, medical health, and personal decisions, is able to get that
vaccine in very very little time.
Great.
No one else should be forced or pushed, or pushed and practically forced in order to breath again, or avoid potential
scrutiny by people with no concept of our work efforts, or health, or perhaps decision to try to conceive etc, etc, etc.
Frankly is a new vaccine, with no time to uncover the full extent of implications! Im a female planning pregnancy,
and I need to be able to breath. Enough is ENOUGH.
We have not had the time to appropriately access this new vaccine. Yet those with other risks have the option if
willing. That is enough, its been months like this. Back off of workers.
I have worked the whole time! HARD! I will not have my privacy revoked, and be pushed to getting a vaccine in
anyway.
Leave hard working people, with their rights and privacy! It is ours, and ours alone.
