CASH IN THE SOLID }
WASTE FUND } RESOLUTION NO. 4 2 21
WHEREAS, the most secure means of depositing revenues from the Quilcene Rural Drop Box
Facility is by armored vehicle services, and;
WHEREAS, the use of armored vehicle services at the Quilcene Rural Drop Box Facility will
change the time between deposits, and
WHEREAS, the use of armored vehicle services at the Quilcene Rural Drop Box Facility will
require an additional change bag, and
WHEREAS, the Quilcene Rural Drop Box Facility is experiencing record customer transactions,
and
WHEREAS, the revised deposit schedule, addition of a change bag and increased transaction
numbers require an increase to the petty cash fund balance to provide adequate drawer balances,
and
WHEREAS, a $1,550.00 transfer into the petty cash fund would provide the necessary margin of
cash during high customer demand at the Quilcene Rural Drop Box Facility,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED,that the Jefferson County Solid Waste Petty Cash Fund be increased
from $250.00 to $1,800.00 and the County Treasurer be authorized to issue a Treasurer's check
in the amount of$1,550.00, payable to the Jefferson County Solid Waste Fund.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of July, 2021.

Subject: Quilcene Rural Drop Box Petty Cash Fund
statement of Issue:
The Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 40 21 on July 19, 2021
increasing the petty cash fund at the Quilcene to meet higher customer levels and
changes in courier service. The increase to the fund was incorrectly stated in the
Resolution.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's:
The amount of increase given in the Agenda Request was accurate but incorrectly
stated in the Resolution.

Recommendation:
Amend Resolution No. 40 21 to state:
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Jefferson County Solid Waste Petty Cash Fund be
increased from $250.00 to $1,800.00 and the County Treasurer be authorized to issue
a Treasurer's check in the amount of $1,550.00, payable to the Jefferson County Solid
Waste Fund.
