Jefferson County Public Works identified three abandoned wells on property owned by Jefferson County that required decommissioning. A contract was awarded to Oasis Well Drilling, Inc. for the work and the work has been completed. Change Order No. 1 with Oasis Well Drilling, Inc. for Decommissioning Three Wells, adjusts contract quantities to reflect actual work completed. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: County Funds were expended to complete decommissioning of the three wells. Completing the decommissioning of the three wells brings Jefferson County in compliance with Washington's requirements for decommissioning of abandoned wells. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: This change order will increase the total contract amount by $994.50 from $19,871.00 to $20,865.50. This project is funded by County funds. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board execute all three (3) originals of Change Order No. 1 with Oasis Well Drilling, Inc. and return two signed (2) originals to Public Works for further processing.
