SUBJECT: Agenda Item —Amendment 1 to Professional Services Agreement with
Health Facilities Planning & Development (#N-20-208); September 1, 2021
— August 31, 2022; For a total not to exceed $10,000.
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Jefferson County Public Health is requesting Board approval of Amendment 1 to the Professional Services
Agreement with Health Facilities Planning & Development (HFPD) (Contract #N-20-208) to extend the Rural
Community Opioid Response Program Implementation (RCORP-I) services, specifically feasibility research and
consultation services to improve access to Behavioral Health services; September 1, 2021 —August 31, 2022;
and to add an additional $10,000 to the contract.
ANALYSIS/STRATEGIC GOALS/PRO'S and CON'S:
This agreement is to continue work originally funded by a Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA)
award G25RH32956 (Rural Communities Opioid Response — Planning) to provide feasibility research and
consultation to support the Behavioral Health Consortium's (BHC) effort to identify solutions that will address
the County's need to provide improved access to Behavioral Health services.
FISCAL IMPACT/COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
This agreement is funded by HRSA award GA1RH39564 (RCORP-I), awarded to JCPH for CHIP, who applied for
the grant on behalf of the Jefferson County Behavioral Health Consortium (BHC).
RECOMMENDATION:
JCPH management request approval of Amendment 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Health
Facilities Planning & Development (N-20-208) to provide research and consultation services to improve access
to Behavioral Health services; September 1, 2021 —August 31, 2022; $10,000
