HomeMy WebLinkAboutKitsap Public Health District & Clallam County Interlocal, Amendment No. 1 - 022321 J(IL5.‘ KPHD 1840 Amendment 1 iL AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT 1840 This Amendment("Amendment")to Kitsap Public Health District Contract 1840 for Interlocal Agreement Between Kitsap Public Health District,Jefferson County,and Clallam County for Regional Answering Service Program RECITALS WHEREAS,the Parties entered into the Contract effective January 1,2019; and WHEREAS,the Parties desire to continue the activities as outlined in the Contract; and NOW,THEREFORE,THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: I. Amendment of Contract Section 1 Period of Performance. The period of performance of this Agreement shall begin January 1, 2019.The contract will automatically renew every year unless terminated according to Section 14 of this Agreement. II. Other Provisions Unchanged. The other provisions of the Contract remain unchanged. IV.Effective Date. This Amendment is effective retroactively on January 1, 2021. V.Authorization.Each party signing below warrants to the other party that they have the full power and authority to execute this Amendment on behalf of the party for whom they sign. STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Jefferson County Public Health requests approval of the interlocal agreement amendment number 1 with Kitsap and Clallam Counties to share a regional answering service; January 1, 2019 —January 1, 2020. The original period of performance was to be reviewed no later than January 1, 2020. This amendment allows this agreement to automatically renew each year unless terminated according to Section 14 of this agreement. ANALYSIS/STRATEGIC GOALS/PRO'S and CON'S: This agreement establishes a regional public health after-hours answering service program for Kitsap, Clallam, and Jefferson Counties that shall be managed by the Kitsap Public Health District. FISCAL IMPACT/COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS: Reimbursement to Kitsap Public Health District will be paid annually. The costs will be will based on the percentage of calls received by the vendor in the previous year. Based on recent estimates, the cost will be approximately $255 per year. RECOMMENDATION: JCPH management requests approval of the interlocal agreement with Kitsap and Clallam Counties to share a regional answering service; January 1, 2019 — until terminated.
