The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) met on August 3, 2021 and reviewed the Jefferson County Historical Society's request to fund an additional amount of $10,000 for promotional needs. LTAC members approved a supplemental amount of the funding request and are recommending the Board of County Commissioner's amend the agreement with Jefferson County Historical Society to include the additional $10,000 for a total of $59,000. FISCAL IMPACT: Jefferson County Historical Society $10,000 RECOMMENDATION: Approve and sign the amendment to agreement. The Gateway Visitor Center was in process of addressing the most needed deferred maintenance issues in fall of 2019 when weather and funding issues stopped process. The arrival of the Corona Pandemic in 2020 and associated closures, uncertainty, and projected lack of funding halted the process that year. Now opportunity to correct these deferred maintenance objectives is on hand.
