Dear Board Members,
I would like you to please reconsider your recent actions of the implementation of yet anothermask mandate. After all we have been through as a county and Americans a round of new
restrictions seems like the last thing we need. Like most people I was concerned for my familywhen Covid-19 first started circulating across our country. Now that there is more data
available pertaining to this virus than one can stomach, my fears have been relieved. Notbecause of the vaccine that everyone was so quick to get but because of the facts. This virus is
easily survivable for most of us and once we have had it the chance of us dying from it in thefuture are almost non existent. I have attached a screen shot directly from the DOH website. I
will give you the highlights just in case you are worried about opening it. So far in our countyonly 4 people have died in a year and a half from the virus. We have a 99.3 percent survival
rate and our ICU still have almost 80% of the beds available. Please quit listening to the CDCand the rest of the schmucks that work for the federal government. You don't need their
guidance math doesn't lie and common sense can prevail. I wish you all the best as youcontinue to make decisions that impact me and the rest of the citizens of Jefferson County.
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve
neither liberty nor safety.
