SCOPE OF WORK
1. BUILDING DESCRIPTION:
A. THE RESIDENCE IS A WOOD FRAMED SINGLE STORY CONSTRUCTED IN 1992. IT IS
ROUGHLY L-SHAPED IN PLAN WITH NORTH-SOUTH DIMENSION OF APPROXIMATELY 38
FEET AND AN EAST WEST DIMENSION OF APPROXIMATELY 41 FEET. THE BUILDING IS 1382
SQUARE FEET IN LIVING AREA WITH A 440 SQUARE FOOT ATTACHED GARAGE ON THE
EAST SIDE OF THE HOUSE.
B. THE FLOOR FRAMING IS COMPRISED OF WOOD JOISTS OVER A CRAWLSPACE, WITH A
SLAB ON GRADE AT THE GARAGE.
C. THE EXTERIOR WALL FRAMING OF THE HOUSE IS COMPRISED OF 2X6 STUDS AT 16 INCHES
ON CENTER.
D. THE INTERIOR WALLS ARE COMPRISED OF 2X4 STUDS AT 16 INCHES ON CENTER.
E. THE ROOF FRAMING IS COMPRISED OF 2X4 METAL PLATE CONNECTED TRUSSES AT 24
INCHES ON CENTER.
2. DAMAGE DESCRIPTION:
A. A FIRE RECENTLY OCCURRED AND ELEMENTS DAMAGED BY FLAME INCLUDE VIRTUALLY
ALL ROOF TRUSSES. A PAST VEHICLE STRIKE ON THE SOUTH JAMB OF THE EAST WALL OF
THE GARAGE WAS ALSO OBSERVED DURING THE SITE EXAMINATION.
3. PROJECT SCOPE:
A. REMOVE AND REPLACE ALL TRUSSES.
B. REMOVE AND REPLACE DAMAGED SILL PLATE AT THE GARAGE.
C. REMOVE AND REPLACE EXTERIOR WALL SHEATHING AT THE GARAGE WALL.
D. THIS REPAIR USES LIKE-KIND MATERIALS TO REPAIR DAMAGED COMPONENTS.
E. THE FOOTPRINT OF THE BUILDING, THE HEIGHT OF THE BUILDING, THE OCCUPANCY OF
THE BUILDING, AND THE UTILITIES TO THE BUILDING REMAIN UNCHANGED.
