The meeting was called to order by Chairman B. G. BroWn in the
presence of Commissioner Larry W. Dennison and Commissioner George C.
Brown.
AGREEMENT re: 1989 Economic Development Services: Economic
Development Council of Jefferson County: The agreement by the Jefferson
County Economic Development Council to provide economic development
services to the County for 1989 for $5,000, was approved by motion of
Commissioner Dennison and seconded by Commissioner George Brown. The
motion carried by a unanimous vote.
AGREEMENT re: 1989 Economic Development Services: Peninsula
DeVelopment Association: Commissioner Dennison moved to approve the
agreement with the Peninsula Development Association for services in 1989
for $3,750 as presented. Commissioner George Brown seconded the motion .
which carried by a unanimous vote.
Budget Transfers: Various County Departments: The budget
transfers as requested by the Clerk, and Human Services Departments were
authorized by approval of Resolution No. 122-88 on a motion made by
Commissioner George Brown seconded by Commissioner Dennison. The motion
carried by a unanimous vote.
Adoption of the Annual Current ~nse Budaet for 1989 Includina
Special Revenue Funds. 3efferson County Road Construction proaram for 1989
and the County Property Tax Levv for 1989: Commissioner Dennison moved to
approve Resolution No. 123-88 adopting the 1989 Current Expense Budget
including special Revenue Funds, the Jefferson County Road Construction
Program and the County Property Tax Levy for 1989. Commissioner George
Brown seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
Cost Allocation Study for 1989: Commissioner Dennison reported
that Tom O'Rourke, who did the Cost Allocation study last year, will come
back and teach County staff to do this study in the future. He would also
provide the computer software for the study. The total cost for this
service would be $6,000. Commissioner Dennison moved to approve the Tom
O'Rourke cost allocation proposal including the consultation and software
as submitted. Commissioner George Brown seconded the motion which carried
by a unanimous vote.

CALL FOR BIDS: Furnishing LiQUid Prapane: Gary Rowe reported
that this bid call is for furnishing liquid propane to the County for 1989.

Discussion re: Solid Naste Advisorv Committee Interviews:
The interviews of the four applicants interested in serving on the Solid
Waste Advisory Committee have been scheduled for January 5, 1989 starting
at 2:00 p.m., Gary Rowe reported.
Letter to Thomas Majban. Attornev re: Seton. et al.. v. CNe Real
Estate Corporation: Railroad Right-of-Way: Chairman Brown read the letter
from Thomas Majhan, Attorney for Gene Seton, et ala The County has made an

seat performing art pavilion, Bart Phillips explained, will be built in the
Balloon hanger to e called the McCurdy Pavilion. The financing for the
project is as foIl ws: $160,000 County; $260,000 from the City; $260,000
from Washington St te Parks and the balance from private contributions.
The FmHA will require that the County issue General Obligation Bonds to
