MINUTES
Week of December 28, 1981
The meet ing was called to order by Chairman Larry W.
Dennison. Commissioner B. G. Brown and Commissioner George C . Brown
were both present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The Minutes of December 21, 1987 were
approved as read by motion of Commissioner B.G. Brown, .se~onded by
Commissioner George Brown. The motion passed by a unanimous vote.

PUBLIC WORKS
BID OPENING re: Renovation of a Portion of the Courthouse
Basement: Public Works Property Manager, Carter Breskin, opened and
read the bids for renovation of a portion of the Courthouse basement as
follows:

Commissioner B.G. Brown moved to direct the Public Works Department
check the bids for accuracy and if no discrepancies are found, to
accept the low bid. Commissioner George Brown seconded the motion.
The motion passed by a unanimous vote.
Updatina the Official County Road Loa: After reviewing the
eleven additions to the Official County Road Log, Commissioner B.G.
Brown moved to approve and sign Resolution No. 111-81 updating lthe
official county road log as recommended by the Public Works Department.
Commissioner George Brown seconded the motion. The motion passed by a
unanimous vote.
Bid Award: Brinnon Senior Center Water SYstem: The Public
Works Department recommendation that the bid for the Brinnon Senior
Center Water System be awarded to Tollshark Construction of Chimacum
for $43,998.00 with a 60 day completion time, was accepted by motion of
Commissioner B . G . Brown, seconded by Commissioner George Brown. The
motion passed by a unanimous vote.

Alternate Member to Serve on Solid Waste Advisory Committee:
Carter Breskin reported that a letter has been received from Mr. Fred
Apstein asking that an alternate be named to serve on this committee
during his absence from the area for the months of January, February
and March, 1988. He suggested that Ms. Charlotte Charier serve as his
alternate. Commissioner B.G. Brown moved to allow Ms. Charlotte
Charier to serve as an alternate for Mr. Fred Apstein on the Solid
Waste Advisory Committee during his absence. Commissioner George Brown
seconded the motion. The motion passed by a unanimous vote.
PLANKING
FINAL Brandeberrv Short Plat #SP4-81: West End of .Jefferson
County near Boaachiel River: Worth Brandeberry, Applicant: Senior
Planner Rachel Nathanson explained that this short plat is located on
the Bogachiel River, just off of Undie Road, and consists of three
lots, 2 acres, 5 acres and 19 acres in size. The applicant is planning
to sell Lot 1 (2 acres) which has a mobile home on it. The only
portion of this short plat that is in the flood hazard area is lot 2
and when a building permit is applied for on this lot the applicant
will. have to meet the flood hazard requirements. Commissioner B.G.
Brown moved to approve the final Brandeberry Short Plat #SP4-81 as
recommended by the Planning Department. Commissioner George Brown
seconded the motion. The motion passed by a unanimous vote.
ASSESSOR
Budaet Transfer'Reauest: Commissioner B.G. Brown moved to
approve and sign Resolution No. 112-81 authorizing the budget transfers
requested by the Assessor's Office. Commissioner George Brown seconded
the motion. The motion passed by a unanimous vote.

BEARING NOTICE re: Proposed Budaet Appropriations/Extensions:
Various County Departments: Commissioner B.G. Brown moved to approve
and sign Resolution No. 113-81 setting the public hearing for the
budget extensions and appropriations requested by the Building Inspec-
tion Department, Shorel ine Commission and Sheriff's Department for
January 11, 1988 at 10:00 a.m. Commissioner George Brown seconded the
motion. The motion passed by a unanimous vote.
