I II Carter Breskin reported that she surveyed 33 of th~ 39 cou ties in this State on how they handl d septic tank wastes. 21 qf the 3~ counties surveyed, either did no accept septic wastes or i~ they d~d it was sent to a sewage treatm nt plant owned by a City. Of the fbur other Class 5 Counties (Count.es are put in a class by pqpulatiop); two do not accept septic waste (Klickitat and Adams); on~ county I dumps it into a lagoon for a fee of $.01 per gallon (Asotinl and ont county (Pacific) ships it to C' ty treatment facilit:fLes.
