Sheriff mith further reported that there are some Einor problems that
need to e corrected in the new jail facility. Some of these problems
were punchlist items that are being corrected by thie Contractor and others
bave arisen ,during the shakedown of the facilities !systems, while a
few of the problems existed before the punchlist wals drawn up, but were
not included on that list. The Board concurred with the Sheriff that
he should pursue having these items corrected befor~ the new facility

Orefie Udd re: Chipper Operation near the ~irport: Mrs. Udd
reported to the Board that scales have been install~d at the chipper
site as well as the office, and the site is now in ful!_oper~tio~. A
new barker is currently being installed. 11
The installation of the electr~city will probably t~ke about a month
because the electric lines will be run at the same time the water lines
are installed. The barker will be run on diesel fubl until the electricity
is available. I'
The Board will check with the Prosecuting
responsibility these various repairs are,
accepted by the County yet.
,
i:
Because of the shorter daylight hours in the winter', Mrs. Udd also asked
if the Board would consider allowing their operatiohto run an eight
hour shift on two Saturdays per month through the end of March. Another
alternative to these Saturday operating days would ~e the installation
of an extenstve~:lighting system to allow night oper~tions.
