called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

David Goldsmith, Planning Director, had submitted memorandum regard-
ing this change, since he is out of town today, whi h the Chairman read.
The new value figures have been adjusted based on tie experience of the
past five months, for the amendment to Section 4.20 regarding structural
values and the change to subsection 4.6 on refundin of permit fees is
to clarify procedures.
The Chairman closed the hearing after which Commiss oner Brown moved to
approve Ordinance No. 5-84 Amendments to the Jeffer on County Building
Code Ordinance 2-84, Subsection 4.20 and Subsection 4.6. Commissioner
Pitts seconded the motion. Unanimous.

Herbicide Spraying: Commissioner John P' _ts reported on the
meeting May 2, 1984 with the various parties i d and concerned about
herbicide spraying. Representatives from Depa of Natural Resources,
Pope and Talbot, Crown Zellerbach, as well as Representative Barney
McClure and a group of concerned citizens met d' cuss this issue.
The following issues were discussed: 1
1) 14 day review process: There is confusion this 14 day period
of review outlined in the R.C.W. No interpon was made, but the
DNR advised that next year they would send , plications to the
County as soon as they are received to allo time for review.
2) Public Health Responsibility: There will b eting Thursday
