of the Architect/Engineer,and 3) Bonehead error. A dhitects on other
jail projects have argued that the architects fees ~e so low that the
architect can not pay for the mistakes he makes and ~he State has agreed
with this reasoning, which means they will pay for t ~ additional materials
required to correct the mistake but they will not p ~ for any additional
architect fees. I

The initial contract amount .has been increased by $ 6,245.00 for change

overlooked by the hardware cons ~tant. The cost
of the hardware is $41.00. Pal er is asking a
total of $2,732.65 for this cha ~e order. The arch-
itect has allowed $47.54 of thi !amount as reason-
