STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTMENT re: Jefferson County Library Board of Trustees; To Serve an
Unexpired Term to End March 31, 2025; Cheri Van Hoover
ANALYSIS:
A letter nominating Cheri Van Hoover was received from Tamara Meredith, Jefferson County Library
Director, requesting she be appointed to the Jefferson County Rural Library District Advisory Board.
The Jefferson County Library Board of Trustees considered applicants for an open position left vacant upon
the resignation of Trustee Ellen Hargis in July 2021. After consideration of the candidates,the Trustees would
like to request that you appoint Cheri Van Hoover to complete former Trustee Ellen Hargis' remaining term,
which expires March 31, 2025.
Cheri Van Hoover has extensive experience in health literacy and education. She has been a resident in
Jefferson County for many years and is an avid supporter of libraries and literacy. Cheri will make an excellent
addition to our library's Board of Trustees.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTMENT re: Jefferson County Library Board of Trustees; To Serve
an Unexpired Term to End March 31, 2025; Cheri Van Hoover
