I sent this email originally to Dr Berry at Jefferson County but apparently her email hasnot been activated yet. So I send this to the board as proxy.
As a concerned business owner, I urge you to rescind your proof of vaccination order to enterprivate commercial businesses. Not only is this beyond your constitutional authority, you are
turning business owners into criminals. There is no way a business owner will be able to trulyverify vaccination status since many in our county were vaccinated somewhere else and our
business owners will never be able to authenticate a valid document.
Additionally, recovered covid patients may not have been vaccinated and yet may have a morerobust immunity than vaccinated individuals and yet your order restricts their rights and
freedoms as well. If I am wrong about the more robust immunity please respond with yourcitations.
I hope you will see the rashness of this decision and encourage members in a free society to be
cautious rather than attempt to use government coercion to reduce risk. The ends do notjustify the means. If it does, then you will be ordering the discontinuation of driving a car
since there is a clear correlation between miles driven and MVA deaths. If you think myanalogy is flawed please explain why.
No other health official in our state has chosen this path, neither should you. Please rescind
this order immediately,Bob
