To the Board,
Your decision to require proof of vaccination for COVID19 for indoor service at bars and restaurants is the obvious
right action to take. I thank all of you for your dedication to protecting the public health of our citizens and can only
hope that others will follow your example. Please include my thanks in the records of your next meeting.
I continue to be distressed that so many individuals fail to see the need to protect themselves and others from this
lethal threat to health. Their collective decision to remain unvaccinated has prolonged the pandemic, depleted our
ability to care for everyone, not just the COVID patients. As they sicken and die, the unvaccinated cost our mostly
publicly financed health care system a fortune. And if they manage to survive, the longterm costs to care for them
are also a public burden.
If I could do it, I would bar the unvaccinated from all public settings, including any business that has contact with
the public. All health workers and associates should be vaccinated or loose their employment. The public good
demands that individuals do their part to bring our lives and livelihoods back to a semblance of normal.
