WHEREAS, the State Constitution, Article VIII, Section 7, authorizes the
gift of county funds for the support of the infirm, and
WHEREAS, the county has available certain Federal Revenue Sharing Funds
which can be used for the ordinary and necessary maintenance and operating
expenses of a health facility, and
WHEREAS, Hospital District No. 2 contemplates that it will have insuffi-
cient income to meet its ordinary and necessary maintenance in operating expenses
during the initial period of its operation of Jefferson General Hospital; now there-
fore ,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Treasurer be and she is hereby directed to
transmit the amount of $ 50,000.00 from the Federal Revenue Sharing Fund to
Hospital District No. 2 for payment of ordinary and necessary maintenance and
operating expenses incurred by the said Hospital District in operating Jefferson
General Hospital.
