WHEREAS, on the night of December 16, 1974, a fire destroyed jail clothing and bedding in cell # 1 of block 3, Jefferson County jail, and WHEREAS, subsequent damage resulted in extreme paint blistering and dis- coloration of walls by virtue of soot and smoke, and WHEREAS, the cost to clean and repaint the facility and replace jail clothing and bedding destroyed amounted to $1,589.67, and WHEREAS, the Hartford Insurance Company, after having been presented a claim by Jefferson County, subsequently issued a draft in the amount of $1,589.67; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Hartford Insurance Company draft in the amount of $1,589.67 be credited to the Jefferson County Sheriff's 1975 budget and designated to sub accounts No. 521 -00 -22 -003 and No. 521 -00 -22 -007, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that warrants in the following amounts be issued: $708.75 to Tom Plut for painting $650.48 to Dualclean for cleaning and the balance of $230.44 be utilized for replacement of jail cloth- ing and bedding.
