In the Matter of Amending the Salary
Schedule Attachment A for the FLSA
Exempt Management and Professional
Employees
RESOLUTION NO 05-03
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners set the salaries of the management and
professional employees of Jefferson County and they were placed on a Compensation system by
passage of Resolution No. 8-96 which allows these employees to have a uniform system to
provide equitable compensation; and,
WHEREAS, after a review of the salary schedule Resolution No. 33-01 was
adopted to make the FLSA Exempt management and professional employees salaries consistent
and comparable to the salaries paid similar positions in other counties; and,
WHEREAS, there was no annual adjustment made to the compensation schedule
for FLSA Exempt Management and Professional employees in 2002 to help control
expenditures; and,
WHEREAS, after review by the Board of Commissioners during the 2003 budget
process it was determined that such an adjustment is necessary in 2003 in order that these
employees are treated in a manner consistent with other employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners
that in order that the FLSA Exempt Management and Professional Employees be treated with the
same parity, consistency and uniformity as other employees and officials their annual salaries
shall be set at the rates as established in the attached, updated A TT ACHMENT A.
