RESOLUTION NO. 34-03
WHEREAS, planned construction work for the Center Road Culvert Replacement Proiect (Tarboo Creek).
Milepost 7.75. County Road No. 931507. Proiect No. CR1624, will require detouring traffic around the
construction zone via a one-lane bypass, and
WHEREAS, R.C.W. 46.61.415 permits local authorities to decrease or increase the maximum legal
speed limit on County Roads when the maximum speed is greater or less than is reasonably safe, and
WHEREAS, the County Engineer has detennined that a speed reduction through the construction zone is
appropriate for this proj ect,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the maximum speed limit through the construction zone for this project
shall be temporarily reduced ftom 50 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour for the duration of the construction
project, in accordance with the approved Plans and Specifications on file with the Jefferson County Public Works
Department.
