In the Matter of Providing a Positive}
Cash Balance for the Community }
Network Fund }
RESOLUTION NO 37...03
WHEREAS, the Community Network Fund was established in the 2002 budget as
a fiduciary fund; and
WHEREAS, the Community Network receives funding from various sources
including grant funded reimbursements for expenses incurred; and
WHEREAS, due to the nature of the activities in this fund, the Community
Network Fund is short of cash to pay all ofthe expenses submitted even though those expenses
will be covered by revenues scheduled to be received before the end of2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED, by the Board of County Commissioners
that it is in the best interest of Jefferson County that the County Treasurer be and is hereby
authorized to transfer funds from the General Fund in the amount of$15,000.00 to the
Community Network Fund (#671-005-010) to be held as a Restricted Fund Balance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOL VED, that the Restricted Fund Balance shall be used to
provide funding to maintain a positive cash balance for said fund.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that as the disclosure from transfer of such funds
shall be made as an Equity Transfer on the County's Annual Financial Statements.
