County Road Rights of Ways: x
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners
that it is in the public interest to vacate, as county road rights of way, the portions of the
following County Road Rights of Way, described as follows:
Maynard Road No. 500909:
All that portion of Maynard Road No. 500909 defined as usage right of way lying
Westerly of SR 101, Mile post 281.73, within the Plat of Junction City as
recorded Volume 2, Page 96 of Plats on or about July 22, 1890, lying in the NW
1/4 of Section 24, Township 29 North, Range 2 West. W. M.; with a distance of
0.09 miles.
Belfrage Road. No.503409
All that portion of Belfrage Road defined as usage right of way extending south of
Mile Post 0.28, lying in the South 1/2 of Government Lot 3 and Government Lot
4, Section 18, Township 28 North, Range 1 East. W. M. The net result of the
proposed vacation is to shorten the overall length from 0.430 miles to 0.28 miles
officially maintained on the County Road Log.
Situate in Jefferson County, State of Washington.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, and in contemplation of the language of
statute R.C.W. 36.87.010, the County Engineer is hereby directed to examine said roads
and report his opinion as to whether this county road right of way should be vacated and
abandoned and all other facts, matter and things which will be of importance to the
Board, and that such report to be filed as soon as possible. The hearing date for the
proposed vacation is November 18, 2003 at the hour of 1 :00 p.m., with the Jefferson
County Hearing Examiner in the first floor conference room, Courthouse, Port
Townsend, Washington.
