RE:
County Engineer's Report: Accepting roads in Olympic Terrace Long Plat
Rights-of-way for Mt. Constance Way and Mt. Christie Court in the Olympic Terrace Long
Plat in Port Ludlow were dedicated to Jefferson County in fee simple.
The Public Works Department reviewed and approved the road construction plans and the
storm water management plans. The road was designed in accordance with the requirements
of the Department's adopted standards, the Policy on Geometric Design of the American
Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. The storm water management
plan is consistent with the standards of the Washington Department of Ecology Stormwater
Management Manual for the Puget Sound Basin. The Public Works Department inspected
construction. The materials used in construction conform to the Standard Specifications of
the Washington Department of Transportation. The road was constructed in accordance
with the approved plans. The developer has provided mylar record drawings of the roads to
the Department.
The road would extend the existing County Road system in the area. Accepting the road
would be consistent with previous plats and road dedications in Port Ludlow.
In consideration of the above, I recommend that the Board of County Commissioners
approve the resolution accepting Mt. Constance Way and Mt. Christie Court as County
Roads and adding them to the County Road Log.
