WHEREAS, Voting Precincts 701, 702, 703, 704, 705, 706, 707, 708, 709, 710, 711
and 712 are located all within the City of Port Townsend, and
WHEREAS, as part of the Jefferson County re-districting process and to continue cost
savings to the tax payers, it is now deemed necessary to consolidate these precincts, and
WHEREAS, these precincts shall be designated as Precinct 701, (formally 701, 702
and 703) and Precinct 702, (formally 704, 708 and 709) and Precinct 703, (formally 705 and
706) and Precinct 704, (formally 710 and 711) and Precinct 705, (formally 707 and 712), the
legal description of each precinct being attached. Attachment A is Precinct 701, Attachment
B is Precinct 702, Attachment C is Precinct 703, Attachment D is Precinct 704 and
Attachment E is Precinct 705,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that these precincts be established and shall
be effective no later than June 21, 2002, as prescribed by RCW 29.04.040, Paragraph 2,
which states that no precinct boundaries shall be changed during the period starting as the
thirtieth day prior to the first day for candidates to file for the primary election, (July 22,
2002) and ending with the day Qf the general election.

BEGINNING at the intersection of the centerline of Lawrence Street with the intersection of
the centerline of San Juan Avenue in the plat of Railroad Addition to the City of Port
