RESOLUTION NO. 20-02
WHEREAS, Voting Precincts 600-Upper Hoh, 601-Hoh, 602-Kalaloch, 603-Queets, and 604-
Clearwater are Vote-By-Mail Precincts allowed by RCW 29.38.010, and
WHEREAS, Voting Precincts 600-Upper Hoh has 61 voters, 601-Hoh has 81 voters, 602-
Kalaloch has 13 voters, 603-Queets has 71 voters and 604-Clearwater has 33 voters, and
WHEREAS, as part of the Jefferson County re-districting process and to continue cost
savings to the tax payers, it is now deemed necessary to consolidate these precincts, and
WHEREAS, these precincts shall remain Vote-By-Mail as allowed by RCW 29.38,010 and
shall be designated as Precinct 600-Hoh, (formally 600-Upper Hoh and 601-Hoh), and Precinct 601-
Queets, (formally 602-Kalaloch, 603-Queets and 604-Clearwater), the legal description of each
precinct being attached. Attachment A is Precinct 600-Hoh and Attachment B is Precinct 601-
Queets,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that these precincts be established and shall be
effective no later than June 21, 2002, as prescribed by RCW 29.04.040, Paragraph 2, which states
that no precinct boundaries shall be changed during the period starting as the thirtieth day prior to
the first day for candidates to file for the primary election, (July 22, 2002) and ending with the day
of the general election.
