RE:
Anderson Court Long Plat road dedications; County Engineer's Report
The following three roads within Anderson Court Long Plat are proposed to be dedicated to the
County: an extension of existing Frayne Street, Meg's Way, and Pete's Spur.
Including these roads in the County road system will improve circulation and emergency access
in the area. Frayn Street, which currently dead ends at the plat boundary, will be extended
approximately 380 feet into the plat and be connected to Mason Street via Meg's Way.
The Department reviewed and approved the road construction and drainage plans. The Department
inspected the road construction and determined that the roads have been constructed to the adopted
County standards: Compacted subgrade, 6 inches of compacted gravel base, 2 inches of compacted
crushed surfacing top course, and 2" compacted Class B asphalt concrete. The driving lanes are 18
feet wide traveled way with 2 feet wide gravel shoulders. Street signs, stop sign, and monuments
have been placed as per the Department's requirements,
General Testing Laboratory has tested the gravel base, top course, and asphalt concrete pavement.
They certify that these materials meet WSDOT materials specifications and the required
compaction.
In addition to constructing these roads, the applicant has constructed a water system that will serve
the plat. The platted lots served by these roads will be developed for single family residences.
In consideration of the above, I recommend that the Board of Commissioners accept the dedication
of an extension to Frayn Street and Megan's Way and Pete's Spur as County Roads for inclusion in
the road log.
