RESOLUTION NO. 45-02
WHEREAS, on the 15th of July, 2002 the Jefferson County Auditor submitted a petition,
together with a certificate of sufficiency attached thereto, to the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners, to expand the boundary of Park and Recreation District # 1 to include voting
precinct 206 (Thorndyke) to be located within a certain areas on the Toandos Peninsula; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of such petition, it is the duty of the County Commissioners to
fix a day and hour when they will publicly hear the petition, as provided in RCW 36.69.040.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Jefferson County Board
of Commissioners hereby acknowledges receipt of a petition to expand the boundary of Park and
Recreation District #1 to include voting precinct 206 (Thorndyke) located on the Toandos
Peninsula; and sets the day of Monday, September 9,2002 at the hour of7:00 p.m., at which time
a public hearing will be held at the Coyle Community Center for the purpose of taking both oral
and written testimony form all interested persons either for or against the addition of said
precinct.

and Recreation District # 1
Dear Commissioners:
Attached you will find the previously submitted petition of valid signatures,
the metes and bounds requested and the statement of obligation for
publication fees. We believe this information is now complete and ready for
your consideration.
The object of the petitioners, from voting district Thorndyke 206, is to be
included in the Parks and Recreation District # 1 for the benefit of both
districts. The addition will enable more people, who live near the Coyle
Road to be involved and contribute to the Coyle Community, It will be
conducive to the public welfare, convenience and be a benefit to the
residents who reside within this area.
