Resolution No.
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has been notified that a private drive
needs to be named pursuant to Jefferson County 911 Ordinance Number 2-0401-91 and;
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works wishes to establish this road name to
allow for addressing along the road and eliminate confusion due to similar road names as
required by the Jefferson County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance and;
WHEREAS, research has shown that there are twelve (12) addresses assigned on this
milepost number at this time that will be affected by establishing the road names as shown
on attached Exhibit "A";
WHEREAS, notification has been given to the property owners on this road as shown
on attached Exhibit "B", and;
WHEREAS, a response was received by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office as
shown on attached Exhibit "C" and;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the road at the terminus of Jacob Miller Road to
the west is named Juan de Fuca Road and the road to the east is named Rainshadow Drive.
