Longmire Lane X
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has received a petition to name a private
road Shine View Lane, or Longmire Lane, or Siverd Lane as shown on attached Exhibit" A",
pursuant to Jefferson County 911 Ordinance Number 2-0401-91 and;
WHEREAS, the petitioner is a property owner on this road, and;
WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name to allow for addressing
along the road and eliminate confusion due to similar road names as required by the Jefferson
County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance and;
WHEREAS, research has shown that there are five (5) addresses assigned on this
milepost number at this time that will be affected by establishing the road name as shown on
attached Exhibit "B";
WHEREAS, notification was sent to interested parties and;
WHEREAS, a response was received by the Jefferson County Fire District #3 as
shown on attached Exhibit "C" and;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the road be named Longmire Lane.

Dear Wendy:
There ue at least two roads in the county with "Shine" in the road name. Shine Road and
Shine Ridse Road. I think a third road with "Shine" would make matters wOrst.
In the middle of the night over a crackling radio, responders could miss the qualifying
word after ~ and respond to the wrong address.
Ilugest the petitioner's select the second choice of"Longmìre Lane" or another unique
name. At this point, DO other countY road çomes close to Longmire LaDe,
