ACCEPTING VENDOR BIDS FOR
SUPPLY OF ASPHALT CONCRETE FOR 2001
MAINTENANCE ON VARIOUS COUNTY ROADS

} RESOLUTION NO. 16-01

}
WHEREAS, Jefferson County Board of Commissioners on January 22, 2001 called
for bids for the above mentioned supplies, and;
WHEREAS, due notice of the call for bids was given as required by law, and;
WHEREAS, two bids were received and opened during public session for the week
of February 5, 2001, as shown in the attached bid tabulation, and;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the people of Jefferson County to select the
most responsive ofthe acceptable bids, now therefore,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the best and most responsive bids were submitted
by
Ace Paving, Co., Inc., P.O. Box 4520, Bremerton, WA 98312, for;
Asphalt Concrete Class B - Eastern Jefferson County for a Unit Bid price amount of $31.75 (not
incl. Tax) per ton, and
Lakeside Industries, P.O. Box 728, Port Angeles, W A 98362, for;
Asphalt Concrete Class B - Western Jefferson County for a Unit Bid price amount of $34.93 (not
incl. Tax) per ton, and
Ace Paving Co., Inc, P.O. Box 4520, Bremerton, W A 98312, for;
MC 250 Cold Mix- Eastern Jefferson County for a Unit Bid price amount of $32.25 (not incl. Tax)
per ton, and
Lakeside Industries, P.O. Box 728, Port Angeles, W A 98362, for;
MC 250 Cold Mix - Western Jefferson County for a Unit Bid price amount of $38.26 (not incl.
Tax) per ton, and
that these bids be accepted and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the specifications and contract documents in
their entirety as included in the bid package, are part ofthis bid acceptance.

SUBJECT: Vendor contracts, supply of asphalt concrete for year 2001 maintenance proj ects on various
county roadways, recommendation of award.
Public Works staff has completed checking received bids for above referenced project. Two-asphalt vendor
supply bids were received, both were responsive, with no discrepancies noted. Vendor bids received and
considered were from Ace Paving Co., Inc, located in Bremerton, and Lakeside Industries located in Port
Angeles (see attached bid tabulation sheet).
Following bid review, vendor contracts are recommended for award as follows:
Asphalt Concrete Class B - Eastern Jefferson County:
for the unit bid price of $ 31.75 per ton (not incl. Tax)
Asphalt Concrete Class B - Western Jefferson County:
for the unit bid price of $ 34.93 per ton (not incl. Tax)
MC250 Cold Mix- Eastern Jefferson County:
