In the Matter of Establishing
One Additional Cash Drawer in the
Health and Human Services Department

RESOLUTION NO. 40-01
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Health and Human Services Department has five
cash/change drawers for the various programs they administer; and
WHEREAS, a new program designated as the Outreach Family Planning Clinic in
Qui1cene has been added; and
WHEREAS, the Health and Human Services Department has found that it would be in the
best interest of the County to ensure compliance with the Cash handling Policy, and provide
increased program control by establishing an additional cash drawer.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL VED, that the Health and Human Services Department
be granted an additional cash/change drawer in the amount of $40.00 and the County Treasurer
be authorized to issue a Treasurer's check in the amount of $40.00 payable to the Jefferson
County Health and Human Services Department.
BE IT FINALLY RESOL VED, that this cash/change drawer shall be used only for the
Outreach Family Planning Clinic in Quilcene, and it shall be cashed out and balanced each night
at closing following the procedures outlined by the Health and Human Services Department and
the Cash Handling Policy.

On Apnl1Sth we will begin a new Outreach Family Plamting clinic in Quilcene. I æn
requesting $40.00 for a new cash box to be used at this weekly clinic. We are unable to
use our cmrent out clinic cash box' due to it being used at another out clinic at a different
location.
As it standS now, we have the foIlowing for petty cash and cash collection drawers:
