Soaring Eagle Road X
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has received a petition to name a private
road Soaring Eagle Road, or Windy Bluff Lane, or Cloverleaf Road as shown on attached
Exhibit "A", pursuant to Jefferson County 911 Ordinance Number 2-0401-91 and;
WHEREAS, the petitioner is a property owner on this road, and;
WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name to allow for addressing
along the road and eliminate confusion due to similar road names as required by the Jefferson
County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance and;
WHEREAS, research has shown that there are five (5) addresses assigned on this
milepost number at this time that will be affected by establishing the road name as shown on
attached Exhibit "B";
WHEREAS, notification was sent to interested parties on March 20, 2001 as shown
on attached Exhibit "C," and
WHEREAS, a response was heard from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office as
shown on attached Exhibit "D," and
WHEREAS, a response was heard from Fire District #3 as shown on attached Exhibit
"E," and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the road be named Soaring Eagle Road.

Jefferson County Fire Protection District No.3 is in favor of the first choice SOARING
EAGLE ROAD. Windy Bluff Lane should be avoided since there are at least five other
roads with the word WIND in the County.
