In the Matter of Establishing
the Animal Services Donation
Trust Fund

RESOLUTION NO 44-01
WHEREAS, an older vehicle has been donated to Jefferson County to be sold with
the stipulation that the proceeds be given to help care for the animals at the County's Animal
Shelter; and,
WHEREAS, in order to assure that any donation to the Shelter is used solely for
the benefit of the animals, and not for the maintenance and operations of the Shelter, the Board
of Commissioners has determined that it is necessary to establish a fund, to which these
donations will be transferred for budgeting purposes.
NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED, by the Board of County Commissioners
that it is in the best interest of Jefferson County that such a fund be established, that the Treasurer
is hereby authorized to establish such a fund and that the Auditor establish the budget for this
fund to be known as the Jefferson County Animal Services Donation Trust Fund with the
account number #629-000-010.
BE IT FINALLY RESOL VED, that interest earned from the monies invested by the
Jefferson County Treasurer from this fund shall be deposited to the fund.
