In the Matter of Establishing
A Cash Drawer for the
Concession Stand at H.J. Carroll Park

RESOLUTION NO. 81-01
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division of the Jefferson County Public Works Department
has requested the establishment of a cash/change drawer in the amount of $100.00, for cash
transactions dealing with the concession stand at H.J. Carroll Park; and
WHEREAS, the addition of the concession stand is an integral part of the H.J. Carroll
Park project and the proceeds from the stand are intended to increase the net revenue of the
Recreation Division; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has found that it would be in the best interest
of the County, to ensure compliance with the Cash Handling Policy and provide increased
internal control.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL VED, that the Recreation Division of the Public Works
Department be granted one cash/change drawer in the amount of $100.00 and the County
Treasurer be authorized to issue a Treasurer's check in the amount of $100.00 payable to the
Jefferson County Public Works Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOL VED, that the cash/change drawer shall be used only by
authorized users, and the drawer shall be cashed out and balanced each night at closing following
the procedures outlined by the Cash Handling Policy.
