Public Comment
Michael Calhoun: County Dog Park in Port Ludlow
Michael, with the support of Deborah Cacho, shared interest in building a dog park in Port
Ludlow that would become a Jefferson County Park. Michael asked for guidance on how to prepare a
proposal for the August 4, 2021 JCPRAB meeting.

Report of Parks Tour
Tim provided a summary of the April 21, 2021 JCPRAB parks tour
Board Membership and Attendance
Tim reviewed the requirements for meeting attendance within JCPRAB bylaws. Regular attendance is
important. Matt noted that the Pandemic has impacted attendance.
Forming Resolution By-law Review
Tim reviewed the resolution forming the JCPRAB and the by-laws. He noted that the language regarding
the PROS Plan was slightly different in each.
OPMA Training
Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA) training has occurred within the JCPRAB. New processes were
created and reviewed to ensure OPMA compliance.
OLD BUSINESS
Volunteer Small Maintenance List
No Update
Parks Ordinance Update Review
Ordinance was adopted. Matt reviewed the Ordinance changes with the board.
MANAGER’S REPORT
Matt presented a Manager’s Report.
OTHER DISCUSSION:
Recycling bins are available at HJ Carroll Park during events. They are time consuming to
manage. Matt will respond to the email from the Girl Scouts.
Irondale Beach History Interpretive sign update: It is ready for printing. More work on
placement within the park is needed.
Jim Stark was commended for his mowing efforts at Irondale Beach.
Park shelter replacement was discussed.
