RE: 228 San Juan Drive, Port Townsend, WA 98368 Geotechnical Report Waiver
Request – Approval Recommendation
Michael Goldberg applied for a geotechnical report waiver during the course of a septic system
application. They plan to construct a new septic system and single-family residence. Their
property is mapped as an unstable shoreline slope area. I have reviewed waiver request submitted
by Mr. Goldberg, available map and data, and completed the attached geohazard checklist. They
will implement applicable best management practices during construction. The development area
has a slope of about 14%. Based on our available data, Mr. Goldberg’s site, proposed
development, and analysis from the geohazard checklist I find that the standards for a
geotechnical report waiver, under Jefferson County Code 18.22.910, have been satisfied.
