Given Kate Dean's response to the data table sent last week (that the data is "normal" and "tobe expected"), I doubt that sending an update will make you reconsider supporting vaccine
mandates/passports in Jefferson County. In response to Mark McCauley's question aboutwhether or not the 'breakthrough' cases were asymptomatic, that's a wonderful question! JCPH
does not report that data, though they definitely should! I'd be willing to bet that the vastmajority of cases among the fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated and unvaccinated alike are
either completely asymptomatic or have very mild symptoms. If this is something that is ofinterest to you (and it seems like it is), you might want to consider contacting JCPH. The
problem here is a lack of transparent data.

Look at this! Even though the number of positive tests among 'not fully vaccinated' residentswas greater than that among fully vaccinated residents, the percentages reported since
02/01/2021 still moved closer to 50-50! This should be clear evidence that measuring since02/01/2021 is misleading!
If this data is being shared to show vaccine efficacy, it has many problems with it (e.g., the
misleading start date, including positive tests among populations that aren't/weren't 'eligible'for vaccination, misleading groupings...). I'm in the process of writing a longer article on this
problem (hence the delay in sending you this email), and I plan on sending that article to youlater this week.
