PROPOSAL QUESTIONS 1. Our annual Plant Sale has become very popular.We have a long line up prior to opening the doors. Many people attend from out of the county. We offer good quality plants at reasonable prices.Also have a HUGH raffle and Bake Sale.The raffle has gifts donated by local vendors,gift certificates etc. 2. We would like to increase our plant sale by purchasing plants at wholesale prices.We do not currently have the funds to do that. But with this grant it would be possible. 3. a. Advertise in the Fjord,to get the word out to tourist coming to Jefferson County on the ferries. b. Our sale is Memorial Day Week end c. Mostly Gardeners but we sell raffle tickets and have a bake sale, EVERYONE LOVES BROWNIES! d. Ad in the Peninsula Daily News, Leader and Fjord e. Sale is held over a three day weekend,allowing people to spend the night. f. May possibly collaborate with Shrimpfest 4. We will have no idea who of our customers is staying in Jefferson County.We will measure our success by the amount of funds we have to give back to the community.We strive for$5,000 to$6,000. With the grant we will possibly double that amount. 5. a. Previous events have been attended by 300 to 500 people.With a much bigger inventory we anticipate double that. b.
