As of today, there are no plans to make changes to the public health order regarding restaurants and bars. That is, in answer to your specific concern: currently the restaurant masking policy says “children younger than 12, who are ineligible for vaccination, may enter without showing proof.” Our public health officer has said that, if a change to the age range on that public health order does occur, it would be January 17 at the very earliest. To keep up to date with public health information in Jefferson County, keep checking in with our website here: https://jeffersoncountypublichealth.org/1429/COVID-19 Or, follow us on our Facebook and Instagram pages. When the COVID-19 two-week case rate for Jefferson County falls below 75 cases per 100,000 and remains there for two weeks, the Jefferson County Health Officer will consider rescinding this health order. Our current case rate is 181.82. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
